Pine Cone Wreath Instructions

Method 1:

Method 1 works best with larger white, red or slash pine cones.

Soak pine cones outside in a large bucket of water overnight which causes them to close and will remove any bugs.

After cones are closed insert them between lower and upper rings of the wire frame. (Be sure to wear gloves as the pine tar is very hard to get off your hands)

When frame is filled with the desired amount of cones, hang in a warm, sunny spot for a few days. As the cones dry, they will re-open and are set in the frame.

Spray with acrylic sealer and decorate as you wish.

Method 2:

Method 2 works best when using smaller types of pine cones.

Using a hot glue gun, simply glue individual cones onto the pinecone wreath frame. (Be sure to wear gloves as the pine tar is very hard to get off your hands).

Fill the frame with pine cones to achieve the look you desire.

Spray with acrylic sealer and decorate as you wish.
